Arkadi Berezovski (PhD) is a specialist in modelling of dynamical processes and
corresponding numerical simulations. He is expert in thermoelasticity, internal variables
and finite volume methods.

Jüri Engelbrecht (PhD, DSc) is currently a consultant and professor emeritus at the Tallinn University of Technology (TUT). Previously he was the Head of the Centre for Nonlinear Studies (CENS) at the Department of Cybernetics of TUT and also the President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences ((1994-2004). His research interests are in the field of nonlinear wave mechanics, complexity theory and biophysics. He is the author of several monographs on wave mechanics and authored many articles on complex systems. He has been active in EuroMech, IUTAM, ALLEA, ICSU and is a member of many scientific societies and academies. Honours from Estonia and other countries.

Heiko Herrmann (Dr. rer.nat.habil. [equivalent to PhD+DSc]) is an expert
in classical non-linear field theories and high-performance computing.
In 2003, he graduated (PhD) in Theoretical Physics from the Technische
Universität Berlin (Germany), and he holds the venia legendi for physics
at TU Chemnitz (Habilitation 2016). His main research topic is the mechanics
of microstructured materials, especially short fibre composites, this
includes investigations of the rheology in the manufacturing process. He
has in-depth knowledge and experience, about numerical simulations using
FEM, CFD, MD, MC methods, and several programming languages (incl. C,
Fortran, AWK, Python, Matlab), as well as performance profiling of
applications. He is also a member of TalTech’s HPC Centre.
He is alumnus of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and FP6/FP7 Marie
Curie Program, former coordinator of an ERG grant and PI of PUT1146.
Research topics: short fibre reinforced materials (specific: fibre concrete); virtual reality & scientific visualisation; image analysis; simulations and HPC

Dmitri Kartofelev (PhD) is a specialist in nonlinear musical acoustics. He defended his PhD in 2014. Tanel Peets (PhD), is a specialist in mathematical modelling and analysis of nonlinear
wave propagation. He defended PhD in 2011. In the last 5 years, he has been active in the modelling wave processes in biomembranes and modelling of coupled nerve pulse
propagation. His main strengths are in the analytical analysis of wave propagation (inc.
formation of solitary waves), and solving nonlinear ODEs and PDEs. He is a member of Euromech and a member of the ExCom of the Nordic Association of Computational Mechanics. His main research interests lie in wave mechanics, mathematical modelling and biophysics. He teaches physics at the undergraduate level and mathematical modelling at the graduate level.

Mart Ratas (PhD) is currently a researcher. He defended his PhD in December 2020. It was related to the application of Haar wavelets based numerical methods for the solution of nonlinear PDE-s as well as the application of 2D spectral analysis.
He is currently involved with modelling string-barrier interactions within the PRG1227 project as well as Monte-Carlo analysis of virus spreading within the COVSG22 project.

Andrus Salupere (PhD) is a professor at the Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) teaching several courses and is the Dean of the School of Science. His research has been related to nonlinear wave propagation, formation of solitons and solitary waves, modelling of wave processes in microstructured solids, performing corresponding numerical experiments and analysis.

Kert Tamm (PhD), is a specialist in numerical experiments on nonlinear wave processes
and corresponding numerical analysis and visualisation. He defended PhD in 2011.
He is expert in using Fortran, Python and Matlab. During the last 5 years, he has been involved in the modelling of wave processes in biomembranes and nerve fibres. He has in-depth knowledge and experience, about spectral methods and numerical simulation of the dynamical processes in different nonlinear microstructured media. His research interests include wave mechanics in microstructured solids, computational mechanics and biophysics. He is engaged in the teaching of mechanics at the graduate level.
